Now this blooming gorgeous girl is marvellous Mya. She came into RSPCA care due to welfare concerns as sadly her previous owners could no longer cope with caring for her.

Mya is a larger lady and when she arrived she was very overweight and didn't have much energy. Veterinary investigation discovered that she has a condition called hypothyroidism. Now on treatment, Mya has been having regular blood tests and daily medication. Her condition is now stable and we feel that this girl is now ready to start her new life with a new human of her very own.

Mya is an absolute dream to care for, she has a story to tell everyone she meets and is a real snuggle bum. She is currently enjoying having short but regular adventures with her carers to build her strength and stamina and to keep those pounds dropping off! We would initially like to place Mya out on a foster to adopt basis, just so we can offer any potential adopters additional support and monitor her while she settles into her new home.

This fluffy diva has told us all that she would like all of her new families love and attention to herself and would rather not have to share her home with any other furry creatures. She's ideally suited to a home where any children are of secondary school age or over.

She's a curvy, chatty and quirky lady with a lot of love to give, could Mya be the one for you?

My personality

  • I need training how to sit nicely (and then I can master the rest)
  • I could live with children of secondary school age
  • I can be left alone for short periods
  • I'd prefer to be the only dog in a home
  • I'd prefer to be the only animal in a home
  • I love to snooze
  • I love fuss and attention
