MRS TINY TIMID

Can you share your home with a beautiful but shy cat?

She’s called Miss Tiny Timid, because she’s not very big but she is very scared. She was a doting and dedicated young stray Mum, but now her kittens have all grown and gone to homes of their own.

She's been in a foster home for a while now, where she's gradually settled in. She's started to play, and purr when settling down in her bed but she's still jumpy when approached. Although she can be stroked she doesn't seem to enjoy it and we're not sure if this will ever change.

She is quiet, clean and very well-behaved. In good weather, she might like to spend her time in the garden and will probably prove to be an excellent mouser but she desperately needs a warm, safe home where she'll get the space she needs to be happy.

Why I'm special

Poor Tiny had her kittens on the streets where she had to watch her back. They came into foster care together last Autumn until her kittens grew up and were rehomed. Since then she spent a bit of time in our cattery and is now in another foster home. She's got a sweet and gentle nature and seems to like people being around but she needs a special owner who is happy to see her in a comfortable home without expecting much back as she's too nervous to enjoy getting very close.

My personality

  • I'd prefer to be the only cat in a home
  • I need to be able to go outside and explore
  • I could live with children of secondary school age
  • I'm a shy guy; I'll need time to settle
  • I would prefer not to live with a dog
