About Me

Breed: Ferret
Colour: Grey - Polecat
Age: 2 Years (approx)
Ref: 185543

Milo and Violet are a male and female pair of neutered ferrets who are looking for a home together, after arriving at West Hatch due to changes in their owner's circumstances. They are both very friendly but can go to nip when picked up, and can get overexcited when playing and start to bite. They would suit an adult only home where they can live outdoors as they are used to living in a spacious shed with a run attached, with lots of tunnels and hides to keep them busy. It will need to be extremely secure as Violet has a history of being a bit of an escape artist.

Suitable accommodation for ferrets would be a shed or a hutch measuring 5ft x 2ft with an attached 6ft run. Larger groups will need bigger accommodation. They will also need at least 1 hour of play time daily in a secure area.

For more information please email RSPCA West Hatch at whdomcen@rspca.org.uk. When enquiring, please provide a photo and dimensions of any accommodation that is currently in place. Due to COVID-19 we have made temporary changes to the way we rehome animals. Most of the process is now done via email, phone calls and video footage, and payment of the £60 adoption fee for the pair is taken over the phone. Unfortunately we are currently unable to rehome to tier 3.

We prioritise animals we have rescued from cruelty and neglect, which means we cannot take in unwanted pets.

OUR NATIONAL CRUELTY LINE IS STILL OPERATING: 0300 1234 999. If you have a badly injured stray or wild animal please call your local vet for advice. Please do not attend a vet practice without calling first. To contact the Animal Centre please email whdomcen@rspca.org.uk & to contact the Wildlife Centre please email westhatchwl@rspca.org.uk. Please be aware we are working on reduced staff numbers and will endeavour to reply as soon as we can. Our phone lines are not being answered at present. Although our centre remains closed to the public, we are now able to rehome animals again and have made some temporary changes to the way we do things. Please visit the RSPCA website for more information.
