UPDATED WORDING ADDED – COULD YOU OFFER MIA A NEW HOME?

Mia came to us after her owner was having to move home and could not take her cats with her. She has been in foster care for a few weeks where she has now grown in confidence and is waiting for her new owner to come along and adopt her. Please read what our foster carer has had to say about her below..

‘Mia is a lovely little girl. She has grown in confidence since she came to me and now loves to play with her toys, she will carry and chase them up and down the stairs. She also likes to hide in her play tunnel too. Mia is very friendly and playful, I have found that she can get a little over excited when playing and can catch you with her claws – for this reason I wouldn’t recommend her to be re-homed with young children. Mia spends quite a lot of time sitting on the windowsill and watching what’s going on outside, we are unsure if she went outdoors in her previous home and would need an owner who would let her decide if to venture outside or not. She is a good eater and eats everything and always wants more - she will have to be watched that she does not over eat. I have found Mia to be very clean and always uses her litter tray. She has taken over a place on the sofa in a little bed and spends lots of her time there having lovely little naps. She gets on well with my own resident cats but they are used to various cats coming and going and introduction to other cats would have to be done very carefully. Mia does not like to be picked up and is not a lap cat at the moment but she likes to be stroked and to have a head tickle. She will make a lovely companion for someone, could that be you?’

IMPORTANT BRANCH CAT ADOPTION NOTES:

Our standard cat/kitten adoption fee is £80 which covers: a vet check, flea & worming, neutering, vaccinations, micro-chipping, FIV testing for feline aids, dental scale and polish if needed plus a free four week pet insurance trial. Our cats are usually in separate foster homes within our branch area of Keighley/Skipton. If you would like to arrange a viewing please send us an email at any time and include your address and contact number. Please also tell us if you have children, other pets and if there are any busy roads nearby that might be of concern for when the cat goes outdoors. Our emails are checked at various points during the day and we will reply to you as soon as we can. Our branch phone line is open every weekend and bank holidays on telephone: 07949 229955.

Why I'm special

Mia is a special girl who has grown in confidence since she has been in branch foster care. She now loves to play with her toys and likes to sit looking out of the window to keep a check on what’s going on outside. Mia would be best in a home without younger children but she could be re-homed with other cats if careful and slow introductions are made. Could you be the one to offer Mia a new start and forever home?
