This is Marley 5 years old. He arrived a week ago with a very nasty eye and ear infection. He is a cross Maltese Terrier/Shih Tzu and a lovely friendly boy.

We visited the vet on Monday to find that he has been diagnosed with a heart murmur. He had a scan which showed a leaky heart valve and enlarged heart. He has been prescribed new medication which should make a big difference and prolong his life. Poor Marley also had lots of dental problems - his teeth were found to be full of puss which had gone into his sinuses. He also was neutered and had his eyes and ears cleaned. He was at the vets a long time!

Marley is such a friendly boy. He ignores cats and chickens and the like gets on well with other dogs. Marley is looking for his fur ever home soonest he is better. Please call Kay on 07748014572 / 01296 733255.

Help feed animals in our care

Dog eating out of a dog bowl © RSPCA

It costs on average £8.52 to feed a single animal in our care for just one week!

We rehome thousands of animals every year. Whilst some are lucky enough to find a new home in just a few weeks, many more stay with us for months until we're able to find them their perfect family.

Will you help us cover the costs of feeding dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more with a donation today?

*The funds collected will be used wherever the need is greatest.
