JACK

Jack is a typical young collie, boisterous and full of life. Jack is interested in everything that's going on and loves to be active, whether it be going for long walks, playing fetch with his toys and tennis balls or simply running around and having fun. Jack was born on a farm to working parents so he's a very bright and intelligent boy who definitely needs to use his brain. He already knows many commands and quickly picks up on anything new. It is essential that Jack is rehomed with someone who has had experience of, and understands, the collie breed. He needs someone who can give him a steady routine, spend lots of time with him and give him both the physical and mental exercise that he needs. Jack can sometimes be a little nervous in certain situations so he needs an owner that he can trust and who will give him confidence. He has a fear of vets as a result of a previous unhappy experience but our kennels staff are working with him to try and help him overcome this and they have been full of praise at the progress he has made. Jack seems to also be a dog who doesn't particularly like to be cuddled, which is not to say that he isn't loving and affectionate; you just need to let him come to you on his terms.  Jack has previously lived with older children but not with other pets. We wouldn't recommend a home with small children simply because of Jack's strength and high spirits.

Please contact us if you can offer this clever boy a loving, forever home.

Why I'm special

Hello, I'm Jack the collie. I'm very lucky because I'm being fostered by some lovely people at the moment. We are having some great walks - I really, really love going out for walks, it's my favourite thing. I really hope that when my new owner comes for me that they will like going for walks too! My foster family tell me that I am a good boy. They really like it when I sit and give a paw for my food and for treats - it makes them laugh!

Love from Jack.
