GUINNESS

Guinness is such an affectionate, happy boy. He loves to play and run, but most of all he just loves being around people and getting involved with everything that's going on! Guinness was a stray so we have no information about his background. He has got on well with other dogs that he has met on site but we don't think that he would be good with very small dogs, cats or furries. Guinness would be fine with children but, because he's a strong boy, we would recommend that he is always walked by an adult. This loving boy is looking for his forever home with an understanding owner who can guide and further his training. Guinness has a strong sense of loyalty and will make a close friend and companion.
Guinness sometimes limps if he is given lots of exercise. This is as a result of a congenital fault that may need pain relief sometime in the future.

Why I'm special

I first came to the kennels here in September 2015. I had some horrible injuries to my face but my lovely carers looked after me and helped me to get better. I got lots of great walks and playtime in the exercise area too! I was really happy and just wanted to please everyone so much. Then a lovely lady came along and took me home with her. She was really kind and cared for me but after about six months she became very ill and I had to come back to the kennels. It was nice to see everyone again but I was sad to leave my home. Everyone here tells me that I'm a very special boy and that someday another nice person will come along and give me a home. I hope it's soon. All I want is to have a home of my own again where I can be loved and looked after. I promise that I will work very hard to be a very good dog!

My personality

  • I know how to sit (and lots of other commands too!)
  • I could live with children
  • I can be left alone for short periods
  • I get on well with many other dogs
  • I'd prefer not to live with a cat
  • I'm a bright spark
  • I love fuss and attention
