***Gracie is still looking for her perfect home***

Special home needed for a very special cat……………..

Gracie came into our care in February, having been picked up by an inspector after being reported as a stray.  At the time the weather was bitterly cold, poor Gracie was thin, cold and very hungry.  She had sore skin and heavily laden with fleas and worms.

The vets estimate she is between 2 and 5 years of age so she comes into the category of 'young adult' but we suspect she might be at the younger end of that range as she still plays like a kitten!

Gracie was treated for her skin and parasites and placed at the cattery to recover from her ordeal.  After 2 weeks we took her to be neutered, only to find out that she was pregnant!

So Gracie went to live with one of our fosterers so that she could have her kittens safely.  On 3 March she had 5 beautiful kittens to which she has been an utterly amazing mum.  The kittens are all old enough to go to their new homes, so we are now looking for a special forever home for Gracie.

Gracie loves being with people and is extremely good with children.  She enjoys lots of fuss and attention and still plays like a kitten.  The minute she sees you she will run over for fuss and will spend ages playing gently with the children.  She has a purr so loud you can hear her on the other side of the room!

Gracie has her whole life ahead of her and deserves the best home ever after her difficult start in life.

If you think you could offer Gracie a home please contact Vicky or Louise on 01462 672278.

Please note a home visit and adoption fee will be required.

Why I'm special

Gracie is a gentle, loving and affectionate cat who is absolutely brilliant with children and has lived with 4 and 10 year children in her foster home.  She came in as an underweight stray with her skin in terrible condition, a true rescue cat.  Then we found out she was pregnant too.  She has been a wonderful mother to her kittens who have now found their new homes so it is time for Gracie to find hers.

If you are looking for a cat who is wonderful with small children, look no further!

My personality

  • I'd prefer to be the only cat in a home
  • I need to be able to go outside and explore
  • I could live with children
  • I love company and would like you to be around a good part of the day
  • I would prefer not to live with a dog

Help feed animals in our care

It costs on average £8.52 to feed a single animal in our care for just one week!

We rehome thousands of animals every year. Whilst some are lucky enough to find a new home in just a few weeks, many more stay with us for months until we're able to find them their perfect family.

Will you help us cover the costs of feeding dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more with a donation today?

*The funds collected will be used wherever the need is greatest.
