Appeal to landowners, farmers, stables, garden centres, feed stores and rural homes with outbuildings.

Do you have a safe home for Eddie? He’s a five year old who doesn’t cope well in a traditional home. Because he hasn’t been properly socialised and is used to fending for himself he is not suited to being a house pet.

Rural homes make a good alternative for cats like Eddie as it gives them the space they need to roam, hunt, and exhibit their natural behaviour. It also gives them the choice and control over how they live their lives, whilst providing a safe environment for them to live in.

Eddie is not feral – he is often affectionate and seeks out human company. But he would not make a good pet for someone looking for a lap cat as he can swipe or bite when he feels overwhelmed. He has been used to living outside.

Why I'm special

Can you help Eddie?

All he needs is regular food, access to drinking water, a warm and dry place to sleep and veterinary care when needed. In return you should get an efficient pest eliminator! He is in good health and has been neutered and microchipped. We can give you any help and advice you need.

My personality

  • I'd prefer to be the only cat in a home
  • I'd prefer to be outside most of the time
  • I'd prefer an adult only household
  • I'm independent; I like to do my own thing!
  • I may be able to live with a friendly dog

Help feed animals in our care

Dog eating out of a dog bowl © RSPCA

It costs on average £8.52 to feed a single animal in our care for just one week!

We rehome thousands of animals every year. Whilst some are lucky enough to find a new home in just a few weeks, many more stay with us for months until we're able to find them their perfect family.

Will you help us cover the costs of feeding dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more with a donation today?

*The funds collected will be used wherever the need is greatest.
