DAYTONA

Daytona is a very scaredy boy who is looking for a special home.  Brought to us by an Inspector from a multi animal household, these guys had not had the love and socialisation they needed and so were very worried about human handling.

He was very defensive when he first came here and would hiss and lash out. With daily socialisation and lots of yummy treats, he is now much happier.  He spends most of his time in his safe den during the day and he comes out at night to explore.   With his main carers, he will now purr and enjoy a gentle fuss and although still very wary and a little hissy he is coming around slowly.

Daytona may never be an outgoing cat and he may choose just to be an independent guy, but he is starting to relax and trust the people he knows best so he may develop much further with someone willing to dedicate time to him.

He is looking for a very experienced home with adults and older teens (if any children) it may be beneficial for him to live with an existing friendly other cat who he can buddy up with.  Daytona may be very nervous and will need a lot of time spending with him but he is so worth it and he deserves to be happy and loved.

Could you offer our lovely Daytona the home he truly deserves?

Why I'm special

When I first came to the RSPCA, I was so frightened and worried and I hid away all day.  I am such a happy boy now, I love spending time with my carers, especially when they bring me delicious treats! I am much braver now and would love to find a family and a home of my very own as I have never had the love and care I really deserve and would love to be someone's pampered kitty!  My  brother Oasis has been adopted and is so happy in his new home, I just can't wait to be chosen too!

My personality

  • I may be able to live with another cat
  • I'll probably spend more time inside
  • I'd prefer an adult only household
  • I'm a shy guy; I'll need time to settle
  • I may be able to live with a friendly dog
