CUPID AND AURORA

Cupid and Aurora are a very special pair of rabbits who have found themselves in foster care at RSPCA Walsall through no fault of their own. Cupid initially arrived in foster care with us in 2015 after being thrown out of a moving car. He was then adopted to live with Aurora, who he bonded well with. Sadly due to a change in their owners circumstances they were returned to us. Cupid and Aurora are both 2 and a half years old.

Cupid and Aurora are both absolutely adorable rabbits. They are both very gentle, loving rabbits and easy to handle. They race to the front of their hutch to greet you and will happily eat from your hand. They are both very food orientated, they love their hay and are happy to mow the lawn too! Aurora is by far the boss, she keeps Cupid in line. She is always the first to see or do anything, and when dinner time comes, she is first in the food bowl.

Sadly Aurora has had some health problems since arriving back with us, she appears to be doing well now but we would need to speak to any potential adopter to ensure she gets the right care. We are looking to rehome her to an experienced rabbit owner.

Aurora and Cupid are both fully up to date with their vaccinations (Nobivac Myxo-RHD and Filavac RHD2), they have been neutered, microchipped and health checked by our vet.

If you feel you can offer Aurora and Cupid the forever home together they deserve please email us at enquiries@rspca-walsall.org.uk.

Why I'm special

Oh hi there! My name is Cupid and this is my beautiful wifebun Aurora and we are  looking to find our furever home. We've seen lots and lots of bunnies come and go since we'e been in foster care at Walsall RSPCA, but sadly no one ever picks us, we are now their longest stay pair of rabbits.  The humans here say it's because i'm mainly white with pink eyes, apparently people don't like bunnies with pink eyes, but that's not my fault surely? Everyone seems to want lop eared bunnies but my ears are more impressive than any lop. They tell me I'm handsome, and i'm a very friendly bunny, but still I wonder why no human wants me and Aurora as their own. I love my wifey lots and we are so close, and I look after her really well as she was poorly when we first arrived in care, but she is fightng fit and bossing me around again now. All we ask for is a nice bunny savvy family to take care of us, we will repay you with lots of enjoyment and love. If you'd like to meet me, please could you get in touch with the humans at Walsall RSPCA. Looking forward to meeting you soon!

Help feed animals in our care

Dog eating out of a dog bowl © RSPCA

It costs on average £8.52 to feed a single animal in our care for just one week!

We rehome thousands of animals every year. Whilst some are lucky enough to find a new home in just a few weeks, many more stay with us for months until we're able to find them their perfect family.

Will you help us cover the costs of feeding dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more with a donation today?

*The funds collected will be used wherever the need is greatest.
