This handsome boy was a stray fending for himself on the streets before he was brought to the RSPCA. During his health check it was discovered that Chad was microchipped but unfortuantely the owners details were not up to date, giving us no way of reuniting him with his owner.

Chad is a friendly cat who enjoys to be in your company as well as being fussed over. Chad would suit any home and family as long as there is outdoor access. He may be able to live with another cat given the introductions are carefully implemented. Although Chad is an older boy, he is still young at heart and would enjoy the freedom of a catflap while you are out at work but not necessary. Chads fosterer says that he is a love bug, very inquisitive and enjoys to play.

While in the cattery Chad had some discomfort in his front leg. After having an x-ray it was discovered that Chad had some arthritis which was likely caused by a previous injury that had not healed correctly. As this is something which cannot be fixed, Chads arthritis is managed with a pain relief liquid called Metacam which is put in his food once a day as well as a joint supplement. Chad has since been placed in a foster home as he was finding the cattery life very stressful. Since being in his foster home and on regualr pain relief, Chad has shown no signs of having issues with his leg. He is enjoying his time in his temporary home in Whetstone but he is ready to find his forever home.

Chad is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If you are interested in offering him a permanent home please get in touch with our centre on 0300 123 0594 or submit an application form to

Please be aware that Chads adoption will be subject to a successful home visit and fee.

Help feed animals in our care

Dog eating out of a dog bowl © RSPCA

It costs on average £8.52 to feed a single animal in our care for just one week!

We rehome thousands of animals every year. Whilst some are lucky enough to find a new home in just a few weeks, many more stay with us for months until we're able to find them their perfect family.

Will you help us cover the costs of feeding dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more with a donation today?

*The funds collected will be used wherever the need is greatest.
