CECIL

This is Cecil. He is like a little rocket in the compound, reaching super high speeds when chasing after his toys. We think he would like a nice big garden to whiz around in. This beautiful boy was picked up as a stray and was very thin, poor lad. Cecil knows basic commands such as ‘sit’, somebody must have taught him that! He is keen to learn more and he is very food orientated. We don’t think Cecil got out much, not on the lead anyway. Each day he is improving his lead walking with thanks to the staff and dog walkers being patient and reassuring him along the way. Cecil will need two good walks a day and playtime in a secure spacious garden.
Cecil could live with older, dog savvy teenaged children.

Why I'm special

This is Cecil. Cecil is our special boy who, through no fault of his own, has been with us for over 6 months now.  Cecil is not coping well at all with life in a kennel. He can get very stressed when seeing people walk by his kennel. He doesn’t realise that the reason they don’t give him a second look is because he’s jumping up and down and barking at them.

But, once out of his kennel, Cecil is the funniest, sweetest boy you could meet! He races around our compound like a rocket, he is so super fast!

Cecil came in as a stray, so we don’t know his history. He knows how to ‘sit’, so someone must have taught him that?

We know that the right home is out there for our lovely Cecil. He needs someone who can spend a lot of time with him and can teach him what it is like to be loved.  Cecil will want 2 good walks a day. He would love a secure garden where he can do his ‘zoomies’ and any ‘hide my treats and I will find them’ games would be fantastic for him. That way he can give his brain a workout too! In return, Cecil will give you all the love he has to give! Cecil would be best suited to confident and dog experienced owners and an adult home only.

My personality

  • I know how to sit (and lots of other commands too!)
  • I could live with children
  • I need teaching that it's ok to be alone
  • I may be able to live with another dog
  • I'd prefer not to live with a cat
  • I'm always on the go
  • I love food and treats
