BETTY

Betty was signed over to us with two other cats, their owner was reluctant to sign them over but the family dog had snapped at the cats and they wanted to put the cat’s safety first. They were all lovely cats and hadn't been outdoors very much – We do feel that Betty, being the youngest of the three, could actually go outside when settled in her new home if she wanted to. She has started to show some signs of wanting to go out but this would need to be her choice and she would need an owner who didn’t mind either way. Please read the wording sent to us from her foster carer recently..

‘Betty settled in to our home really quickly. After a couple of hisses at the dogs she is now happy to live alongside them, even giving the one dog an occasional lick. Although she gets along with my other pets Betty does seem to love all the attention to herself! She is a very friendly cat, although she is not really a lap cat she will come for some fuss when it suits her and loves to sleep curled up on the end of the bed. Betty loves to play and chase things round the house, her favourite thing is to chase string or bits of ribbon with toys on the end! Betty has been a house cat in the past but she is showing signs of wanting to go outside, especially when I let the dogs out, so that needs to be considered by her new owners. So far she seems to prefer dry to wet food (I have tried different makes but she tends to leave any wet food I put down). She is a lovely little lady in need of her own home, once she knows you she is very loving and likes being with you. I am surprised she is still with us, who can resist those beautiful big eyes?’

Why I'm special

Betty is a lovely girl who was signed over to us with two other cats who have since found new homes. She has sadly been overlooked and is our longest stayer. Betty would love a forever home of her own, she hasn’t been outside much in her previous home but she is now showing signs of wanting to venture outdoors. Betty really needs to settle in a new home where she can once again become part of the family. Could you offer this lovely girl a new start?

Help feed animals in our care

It costs on average £8.52 to feed a single animal in our care for just one week!

We rehome thousands of animals every year. Whilst some are lucky enough to find a new home in just a few weeks, many more stay with us for months until we're able to find them their perfect family.

Will you help us cover the costs of feeding dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more with a donation today?

*The funds collected will be used wherever the need is greatest.
