Bessie is a 6 year old Staffordshire bull terrier who is looking for her forever home.

We have found Bessie to be a very friendly, sweet girl. We are looking for an experienced owner for Bessie who can help develop her knowledge of basic commands and provide further positive reward based training.

Bessie can be rehomed with another dog depending on compatibility, and children 5+. Bessie isn’t to be rehomed with cats.

Why I'm special

Hello, my name is Bessie, I have been at the Southport centre for 2months now. I arrived at the centre with my friend Marley. Marley has been lucky enough to find his new home but I don't seem to be having much luck. I am a typical staffy who is full of energy and loves to play around. I have a few other dog friends here at the centre so I could be rehomed with another dog, I would just need to meet them first to see if we get along and could become friends.
I am looking for an older active household (12+) who can provide me with regular excercise and mental stimulation.

If you would like to meet Bessie, please call into Southport, Ormskirk & District Branch. We are open from 11am-3:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
Please note: we are closed wednesday.

My personality

  • I need training how to sit nicely (and then I can master the rest)
  • I could live with children
  • I can be left alone for short periods
  • I may be able to live with another dog
  • I'd prefer not to live with a cat
  • I'm always on the go
  • I need to learn how to play

Help feed animals in our care

It costs on average £8.52 to feed a single animal in our care for just one week!

We rehome thousands of animals every year. Whilst some are lucky enough to find a new home in just a few weeks, many more stay with us for months until we're able to find them their perfect family.

Will you help us cover the costs of feeding dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more with a donation today?

*The funds collected will be used wherever the need is greatest.
