Affectionate and friendly, Basil is such a happy boy - his tail never stops wagging! He is so eager to please, and he always wants to jump up on to your lap for a good fuss and a cuddle.  Basil does a lovely 'sit' (especially for a treat!) and he will come to you when you call him. Basil hasn't lived with other pets but he's been absolutely fine, and very well behaved, with other dogs that he's met on site. Basil  has had very little contact with children, but he is such a pleasant personality we feel that he'd be quite happy in a home as a family pet with older chlidren,

This little boy is such good company and fun to be around. Please get in touch if you can give him a loving, forever home.

My personality

  • I know how to sit (and lots of other commands too!)
  • I could live with children of secondary school age
  • I need teaching that it's ok to be alone
  • I get on well with many other dogs
  • I'd prefer to be the only animal in a home
  • I'm small but full of fun
  • I love fuss and attention

Help feed animals in our care

Dog eating out of a dog bowl © RSPCA

It costs on average £8.52 to feed a single animal in our care for just one week!

We rehome thousands of animals every year. Whilst some are lucky enough to find a new home in just a few weeks, many more stay with us for months until we're able to find them their perfect family.

Will you help us cover the costs of feeding dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more with a donation today?

*The funds collected will be used wherever the need is greatest.
