Hello, my name is Aurora. I have been waiting for a lovely home of my own for a very long time now. I have seen a lot of friends come and go and myself and my staff don't understand why I'm always overlooked.  I am a very affectionate girl with a big personality once I'm comfortable around you.  I love going for walks with my doggie friends but I'd prefer to have my new family all to myself.  I am really well behaved on walks but I do try and chase rabbits so I have to be kept on lead or on a long line as my recall needs to improve.  I am very settled in my kennel once I've had a nice walk and I'm just looking for some home comforts.  Please enquire about me, I'll make an amazing addition to your home.

Why I'm special

Aurora is an amazing dog. She has been waiting so patiently for her forever home but she is really hoping for some home comforts now. She initially took a while to come out of her shell and show us her true personality, as she hasn't had many loving experiences with people before coming to Mount Noddy. We will really miss her when she goes to her lovely home as she is such an easy dog and has been great in helping to train our other dogs to be comfortable around dogs. She does need some training in the home as she doesn't understand boundaries, like not jumping up to find food on the counters, but she is very clean and will settle really quickly after a nice walk. She loves her toy walrus who she snuggles with at night and anyone would be lucky to have her join their clan.  Please give her a shot and come and meet her!

My personality

  • You'll need to take me to training classes
  • I could live with children
  • I can be left alone for short periods
  • I'd prefer to be the only dog in a home
  • I'd prefer not to live with a cat
  • I'm quiet but full of love
  • I love food and treats

Help feed animals in our care

Dog eating out of a dog bowl © RSPCA

It costs on average £8.52 to feed a single animal in our care for just one week!

We rehome thousands of animals every year. Whilst some are lucky enough to find a new home in just a few weeks, many more stay with us for months until we're able to find them their perfect family.

Will you help us cover the costs of feeding dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more with a donation today?

*The funds collected will be used wherever the need is greatest.
