This handsome gentle guy is Archer, he is a deerhound cross and he loves nothing more than being in the company of his human friends. In a very short space of time he has stolen the heart of many of the team. He is a a true gent and is regular found chilling on his favourite bed in the office with the office team.

He enjoys meeting other dog but doesn’t tolerate rude manners. He could live with another dog as long as it is the right match for him but due to the nature of his breed he is not suited to live with small animals or cats. Archer will also need to be a on lead dog whilst out on his walks but he will require access to a secure paddock to run in to burn off his energy.

Archer has good knowledge of the basic commands but he is a quick learner and is picking up new training the staff have started with him. He has lots to offer his new family especially with his leaning cuddles and happy face which is always smiling. Nothing seems to make this guy worry. He loves any person he meets so do you feel you could offer this lovable chap his chance of his own home and family if so then please complete a perfect match form.

Help feed animals in our care

Dog eating out of a dog bowl © RSPCA

It costs on average £8.52 to feed a single animal in our care for just one week!

We rehome thousands of animals every year. Whilst some are lucky enough to find a new home in just a few weeks, many more stay with us for months until we're able to find them their perfect family.

Will you help us cover the costs of feeding dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more with a donation today?

*The funds collected will be used wherever the need is greatest.
