Annie and Ada are a bonded pair of female rabbits that were rescued by the RSPCA from a home where welfare standards were poor. They were living in unsecure accommodation and had little if any interaction with their human carers.

When they first arrived at the centre they were matted around their bottoms and back legs and had severally overgrown nails that were causing them discomfort, thankfully both of these problems were easily solved with a little bit of pampering from the staff.

On arrival at the animal home Annie was very worried and tended to shy away from the staff whereas Ada was much more inquisitive and was keen introduce herself. After a couple of days both rabbits seemed much more comfortable in their new home and began to relax although Annie is still a little worried when first approached.

Both rabbits are now looking for a new home together, due to Annie’s worried nature we are looking for a home with no young children as the rabbits will need time to settle into their new home and will need a quiet environment to do so.

Given time and patience from their new family to help build trust and confidence both rabbits will give many happy years to their new household.

Help feed animals in our care

Dog eating out of a dog bowl © RSPCA

It costs on average £8.52 to feed a single animal in our care for just one week!

We rehome thousands of animals every year. Whilst some are lucky enough to find a new home in just a few weeks, many more stay with us for months until we're able to find them their perfect family.

Will you help us cover the costs of feeding dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more with a donation today?

*The funds collected will be used wherever the need is greatest.
