David is a global retail executive with more than 25 years of experience in the UK, EU, US and Asia Pacific (including Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore). He's led large, multinational businesses, including The Body Shop, Debenhams and Hamleys, and has worked with many other big brands and household names. He's been chair and a member of a number of executive boards in this sector.
David joined the RSPCA as a co-opted Trustee to help support the digital transformation of the Society and to also help develop a new sustainable strategy for the organisation. David also ran The Body Shop business in Asia, a beauty business with animal welfare at its heart and worked closely with Cruelty Free International to outlaw any cosmetics testing on animals. David, his wife Esther and their two boys have lived in many different countries and currently have Muffin, a rescue dog from Singapore and Felix, a rescue cat from the RSPCA.
David serves as one of our co-opted Trustees.
