You asked:
Pet owners' responsibility for their pets
Answer:
Owners have a responsibility to care for their pets. People should not get an animal unless they are able to provide it with suitable care and attention. This includes providing specialist treatment to prevent unnecessary suffering in the case of sickness or injury. Owners should arrange for their animal to be taken to a vet as soon as it becomes ill and to pay for any treatment themselves. Read our FAQ: Taking sick pets to a vet.
