RSPCA welfare standards for hatcheries
Our detailed RSPCA welfare standards have been developed to represent ‘best practice’ in the care and welfare of commercially-farmed chicks, poults and ducklings.
These standards are developed with the guidance of our laying hen, chicken, turkey and duck working groups, where issues are discussed along with matters relating to the rearing of these.
