David Yates is hospital director of the RSPCA Greater Manchester Animal Hospital and leads a team of seven veterinary surgeons. He has worked at the hospital since 1991.

David Yates’ particular areas of interest include dog and cat reproduction, dog and cat injectable anaesthesia and neutering, particularly prepubertal and feral cat.

The RSPCA Greater Manchester Animal Hospital provides veterinary care for those unable to afford private veterinary fees – including offsite assistance to RSPCA branches in the form of mobile clinics and mobile neutering.

The hospital is keen to encourage preventative healthcare and actively promotes early neutering to the veterinary profession.
