David Grant will retire this month after 25 years as director of the RSPCA’s Harmsworth Animal Hospital.
David will be familiar to millions as one of the vets who regularly appeared alongside Rolf Harris during the nineties when the BBC's Animal Hospital was filmed at the RSPCA’s Harmsworth Animal Hospital, in north London.
To mark his outstanding service, David will be presented with the prestigious Queen Victoria Gold Medal – the Society’s highest meritorious award for staff and volunteers – at the RSPCA Honours awards event on 8 September. It is reserved for the most exceptional servants to the RSPCA and its cause.
