Puppy with broken leg left to drown
17.07.12
A puppy with a broken leg has been found dumped in a lake in Kent where she had been left to drown.
The female puppy, who was around nine weeks old, was dumped by the lake at Manor Park, St Leonard’s Street, West Malling.
She was found by a walker who was able to pull her out of the water, she was then taken to a vet and treated for inhalation of water and for a broken leg.
Van seen next to the lake
A light coloured van was seen to drive up to the lake and drive off on Tuesday, 10 July. Shortly after the puppy was found dumped in the water.
RSPCA Chief Inspector Steve Dockery, said:
"It looks as though this poor puppy was thrown in the water because she had a broken leg and her owners did not want her any more.
"It is absolutely outrageous."
Sadly, on the advice of a vet, she was later put to sleep.
