The Manchester & Salford Branch of the RSPCA is a separate charity from the national RSPCA and has been running since 1963.
We rehabilitate and rehome dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs who have been rescued by the National RSPCA inspectorate. As a small charity we only have 2 paid members of animal staff and a branch manager.
As well as rehoming rescued animals we promote responsible pet ownership via a range of events in the community. Our charity also offers an advice and support line to the public via telephone and email.
It costs £30,000 a month to run the branch and we receive no government funding. We can board 4 dogs, 20 cats and 12 rabbits and guinea pigs at any one time.
