Derby & District Branch

Education Programme

Is your school class doing a project about animal welfare, or about how to care for animals? Then get in touch! Where possible we will come and give a talk to the children about the RSPCA and responsible pet ownership. At the moment we are only able to talk to primary school children, however we may expand in the future to include secondary school children.

We also give talks to local youth groups e.g. Brownies and can occasionally arrange for small groups of children to visit the Centre and see the work we do.

If you are interested in visiting the Centre or arranging a talk, please contact Victoria Leeming at IGM@rspcaderby.org.uk or 01332 344620.

Please note, we are not able to bring any animals into schools.

Please also see the RSPCA Education Page for literature and lesson plans for children.

As well as children's groups, we also give talks to adults groups where requested, such as Rotary groups and WI meetings. Please contact Victoria, using the above details, should you require further information about this.

If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer Ambassador and assisting us with these talks, please contact Leanne Manchester at vc@rspcaderby.org.uk or 01332 344620. Please note that you must be 18 or over for this role.
