Carmarthenshire Branch

Your local RSPCA

RSPCA Carmarthenshire Branch is looking for trustees!

This is a very exciting time for RSPCA Carmarthenshire Branch as the branch has been in ‘National RSPCA Trusteeship’ since July 2019, after a failed AGM, where no-one stood to be elected as local trustees.  As a result, the National RSPCA appointed temporary trustees to manage the Branch’s affairs.

We are now in a position to start the process of returning RSPCA Carmarthenshire Branch to the control of local trustees, which we hope to do during 2021.

We are looking for applications from people from all social and cultural backgrounds, who are passionate about animal welfare, enthusiastic and reliable, with a variety of skills and experience they could use to help with the running of RSPCA Carmarthenshire Branch, such as:

- Charity governance
- Finance
- Law
- Fundraising
- Income Generation
- Project management
- Business management
- Marketing
- Communication
- Human Resources
- Event planning
- Health and safety
- Campaigning

As a trustee, you will attend monthly committee meetings, which last approximately 2 to 3 hours. The time, day and location of these meetings will be chosen to suit the new Branch Trustees. Depending on whether you decide to take on additional duties, you may also be required to carry them out between meetings. Trustees are elected for a 12 month term each year.

Becoming a Branch Trustee is a great way to meet like-minded people who share your enthusiasm for animal welfare. You will have the opportunity to gain new skills and develop existing ones, whilst making a real difference to the lives of animals.
