Bedfordshire North Branch

Interested in volunteering for the RSPCA?

We rely heavily on volunteers and couldn’t help animals in our local area without the wonderful people who give their time to support the branch.

Our Charity Shops have vacancies for volunteer sales assistants and stock room assistants. They are open Monday - Saturdays 9.30-5.00 and you can work as much or as little that suits you! You can do any of the following;

  • serving in the shop
  • sorting donations
  • window and shop displays
  • valuing and pricing stock
  • managing gift aid
  • donation collections

Our shop provides us with the majority of our funding so it is such a big and important part of our charity. We have a wonderful team, but always need more hands on deck! If you would like to volunteer, please get in contact info@rspca-bedfordshirenorth.org.uk

We are also looking for volunteer foster carers for cats and small animals in need of re-homing. When we have cats or kittens in our care that are more suited to a home environment than a boarding cattery, we need foster carers to give them a loving home temporarily; until they're rehabilitated or veterinary needs are met, and they are ready to go to their forever home.

As our Branch doesn't have an animal centre, small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs also need to go into foster care before being rehomed.

If you are interested in fostering for us or for more information, please get in contact!

Another way you can volunteer is to join our fundraising team! Could you collect collection tins for us? Fundraise at local supermarkets or pet stores? Organise quizzes? Hold a stall at your summer or school Fete? There are many ways to help raise funds and we can help support your efforts so please get in touch if this is something that interests you.
