Chief Cheerleaders - London Marathon
We are looking for an organised, motivated and enthusiatic person to help organise our volunteer cheerers at the London Marathon. We have a number of runners taking part and we need your help to cheer them on.

Key activities
As chief cheerleader your responsibilities would include:
liaising with willing volunteer cheerers for RSPCA runners in the event and allocate them to cheering stations around the course.
Setting up the cheering stations around the course using the equipment provided by the RSPCA.
To raise awareness of the RSPCA.
To support people running for the RSPCA
You don't need to be a runner, just someone who is happy to organise an enthusiastic group of volunteers to cheer on the runners.
Times & preferred duration of commitment
Main activities will be setting up and taking down cheering stations on the day and organising volunteer cheerers into groups around the course. Recruitment of volunteers will be supported through our plan we provide.
Shift 1 9:00am to 1pm (6 miles, Cutty Sark)
Shift 2 11.30 to 1.30pm (12 miles, Tower Bridge)
Shift 3 1.30pm to 3.30pm (26 miles, Buckingham Palace)
Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required
Enthusiastic and personable person would suit someone who perhaps wants experience of organising events.
Expenses
Some expenses may be claimed if agreed in advance, in accordance with the volunteer expenses policy.
