Branch trustee

To manage the affairs of the branch to promote and provide animal welfare within your branch.


Location

Bury St Edmunds and Sudbury areas. IP28, IP30, IP31, IP32, IP33, CO10.

Key activities

To meet like-minded friendly people and become part of very worthwhile cause.

To familiarise yourself with the branch rules and follow them at all times.

To familiarise yourself with and support the aims and policies of the RSPCA.

To work in conjunction with your fellow trustees and branch officers and jointly act in making decisions for the best interest of the branch and the RSPCA.

Ensure the branch meets all the minimum animal welfare standards (MAWS). Where they are not met, work with national RSPCA staff to meet the standard as soon as practicable.

To attend monthly branch meetings and actively participate in the running of the branch.

To welcome and assist the integration of new trustees and volunteers.

Times & preferred duration of commitment

Meetings once a month. However, depending on how involved you would like to be, there may be more of your time required for the various activities the branch operates. Or you may wish to just work as part of the branch committee and provide general support wherever needed.

Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required

Care for animal welfare, good team player, friendly, trustworthy, innovative and willing to help in branch activities.

Training provided

Guidance will be provided by branch, best experience can obviously be gained through getting to know the branch, the people and what we do.

Expenses

The branch will reimburse any expenses.
