Volunteer Grounds Assistent
To assist with general Centre ground works, to maintain borders, beds and wildlife areas. To ensure the Centre presentable to visitors.
Location
RSPCA Kent, Canterbury & District Animal Centre
Key activities
To assist with gardening tasks such as weeding, digging and general maintenance of the grounds in the Centre.
To assist the staff and other volunteers with the movement of small and large items of equipment, following all health and safety guidelines and direction provided.
Under direction, ensure that the Centre is kept tidy and clear of rubbish.
To assist with projects such as wildlife areas and to prepare the Centre for our open days.
Times & preferred duration of commitment
Minimum of 4 hours per week.
Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in garden maintenance, no formal qualifications needed.
Training provided
Health and safety training will be provided along with full training on all motorised machinery.
