Volunteer driver (vehicle not provided)
To transport animals in branch care from the cattery/kennels on the border of Maidenhead and Windsor to the vets and back again, using your own vehicle.
Location
In and around the Maidenhead & East Berkshire branch area.
Key activities
To be keen to give your time to animals whilst they are found a loving new home.
This role is vital to assist the branch to help needy animals.
The role involves transporting cats and dogs between the cattery/kennels and the vets for any treatments they may need during their stay in branch care.
Times & preferred duration of commitment
An ongoing commitment is preferred. Occasional weekdays only.
The role will involve some early mornings when animals need to be at the surgery first thing.
Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required
A suitable vehicle is required in which cat cages and either a dog guard or dog crate can be used in order to transport the animals safely. Experience of handling animals and an interest in animal welfare.
Training provided
Full support will be provided.
