Cat Re-homing Co-ordinators Assistant

To assist the branch with cat re-homing activities.


Location

Bury St Edmunds area. Postal code: IP33, IP31, IP32, IP33.

Key activities

Help to bring in cats to be re-homed by the branch. A large amount of work can be conducted from home over the telephone.

Work closely with the main co-ordinator to ensure that all details and current status of the cats in the branchs care are known at all times.

Help to find new loving and caring homes for the cats.

Help to arrange home visits to ensure that any potential adopters are suitable and will provide the required environment for a cat.

Liaising with RSPCA inspectors.

Liaising with local veterinary practices.

The main co-ordinator will provide guidance and ensure that the society policies and procedures are in place and being followed.

Times & preferred duration of commitment

To be agreed with Co-Ordinator but possibly 4 hours per week.

Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required

Good organisation and communication skills. Good with paperwork. Good team player. Passion for animal welfare and love cats.

Training will be provided.
