Visiting speaker
To support the Community Fundraiser in delivering talks to interested groups from adult groups to youth groups / schools.
Location
Branch area.
Key activities
Helping to develop materials / lesson plans for talks based on responsible pet ownership and the work of the Branch.
Attending venues when booked to deliver the appropriate talk
Delivering the talk
Packing away equipment
Encouraging the group to become involved with our work and take on board the message of responsible pet ownership
Times & preferred duration of commitment
Ongoing as and when required. Talks only last 1 hour max sometimes a lot less dependent on group.
Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required
Previous experience of giving talks / presentations / working in a school environment would be of benefit but not necessary. Ability to use I.T also an advantage. Enthusiasm and reliability essential.
CRB Checks will be conducted.
