Volunteer Co-ordinator
To act as a central contact point for current and potential branch volunteers.

Within the Reading with Oxon Border Branch area. RG6 9PS
Key activities
To welcome new volunteers to the branch. To keep an up to date list of volunteering opportunities within the branch. To work with the branch secretary, the re-homing co-ordinators, the fundraising co-ordinator and other committee members to arrange the recruitment and placement of volunteers. To match what volunteers would like to do to help the branch with the branch's need for volunteer help.
Times & preferred duration of commitment
The role is flexible but an ongoing commitment is preferred. The volunteer co-ordinator will join as a branch trustee, serving on the governing body of the branch, directing affairs and ensuring that it is well run. Committee meetings are usually held monthly
Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required
Good oral and written communication and organisational skills. Experience of recruitment, managing volunteers or motivating teams would be useful, but not essential.

As appropriate.
