Key activities
Trustees serve on the governing body of the charity and have responsibility for controlling the management and running of the branch.
Times & preferred duration of commitment
One committee meeting per month (evenings), ave of 2 hrs per week. Home based.
Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required
Experience in one or more of the following areas: business management; animal welfare; fundraising; retail (whether charity or general); IT (eg websites and database work); human resources (staff management, employment law); health and safety; volunteer management; book-keeping; campaigning/political lobbying; general business/administration; board secretarial (circulating agenda papers, keeping minutes, etc.)
