Cat/Kitten Fosterer

Do you have a spare room to look after a mum cat with a litter of kittens OR an injured cat that needs extra TLC.


Location

Burnham on Sea, Somerset.

Key activities

Mums and kittens need a safe secure room separate from all
other resident pets that is not in use.
They require daily human contact for up to 6 weeks.
Injured cats that require convalescing also heal much better in a quiet and homely environment. These may require medication and regular trips to the RSPCA consulting Vet.

Times & preferred duration of commitment

Up to 6 weeks at a time is required for litters of kittens.
Sick or injured cats requirements can vary and are always
matched carefully to the needs of the foster carer.

Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required

Must have owned cats before.
Have enough time to spend socialising kittens, preferably with 4 different people handling on a regular basis for the kittens good social development.
Transport is required for this rewarding volunteering role as
volunteer will be asked to transport the RSPCA animals as
necessary.

Expenses

All food, bedding, Veterinary expenses are provided by the
RSPCA via the Animal Centre.
