Each shop has a full time professional manager, but the shops could make much more money to help animals if there were more volunteer helpers. Duties include customer service, processing stock, steaming and housekeeping
Times & preferred duration of commitment
Flexible depending on volunteer availability
Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required
Volunteers need to be reliable and trustworthy, enjoy meeting people and working in a retail environment. The shops provide a social environment in which volunteers can make a real contribution to animal welfare
Training provided
Shop Manager will provide full training
Expenses
Reasonable travelling expenses will be reimbursed
