To manage the affairs of a local RSPCA branch.

Times & preferred duration of commitment

Ongoing but a minimum commitment of at least 12 months is ideal:

Trustees are expected to attend monthly committee meetings.
The level of commitment may vary depending upon whether or not the trustee takes on additional duties, such as the role of branch officer (chairman, treasurer or secretary). Trustees are elected for a 12 month term at the Branch Annual General Meeting.

Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required

You must be committed to the objectives of the RSPCA, be able to work with people and have good interpersonal skills. Some trustee roles require specific skills such as finance, fundraising, project management, business experience and awareness of employment law and or charity legislation.

Training provided

Trustee training and guidance notes are provided.
