Key activities

RSPCA Central and North East London Branch has charity shops in the following locations:

Hornsey Road; N4,
Archway Road; N6 and
Caledonian Road; N1.

Each shop has a professional manager,but the branch could make much more money to help animals if there were more volunteer helpers. Duties include general shophelp, sorting donations, moving stock up and down stairs, sales.

Times & preferred duration of commitment

Flexible depending on volunteer availability, eg anything from a day a week to half a day a fortnight. A minimum commitment of 3 months, although a longer term commitment would be preferable.

Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required

Volunteers need to be reliable and trustworthy, enjoy meeting people and working in a retail environment. The shops provide a social environment in which volunteers can make a real contribution to animalwelfare.

Training provided

Any necessary training will be provided by the shop manager and branch trustees.
