To act as a trustee of the branch, jointly with other members of the board of trustees.

Key activities
To work in conjunction with fellow trustees and employed branch staff as a member of the board of trustees of the branch. To actively participate in branch trustee meetings and make decisions in the best interests of the branch and the RSPCA. Norwich and Mid Norfolk branch is a long standing RSPCA branch which has been through a period of major change over the last 2 to 3 years but still has plans to expand. The trustees are ideally looking for people with a background in business, administration or HR to supplement the existing skillset of the board of trustees.
Times & preferred duration of commitment
As a minimum, trustees would be expected to attend monthly committee meetings of 2 to 3 hours duration. However many trustee take on additional roles in connection with fundraising, financial management, dog walking etc. Trustees are elected for a 12 month term at each AGM.
Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required
There are no strict qualifications but a background in business and or finance would be desirable. Trustees would naturally be expected to have a strong commitment to animal welfare and support the objectives of the RSPCA.
Training provided
Initial trustee training will be provided and full suport will be available from existing trustees and staff.
Expenses
Reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.
