To answer the branch telephone on a rota basis.

Key activities

The branch has a single mobile contact number which is switched to the handset (mobile or landline) of whoever is on duty. This is primarily to provide an urgent contact number for our animal clinic, but volunteers also answer queries about rehoming, injured stray animals and general questions from the public.

Times & preferred duration of commitment

Normally one day a week from 9am until 5.30 pm (can be flexible), minimum of one half day per week

Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required

Good telephone manner, calm and unflappable.

Training provided

Written instructions, plus ability to contact the rota organiser during duty periods.

Expenses

We reimburse cost of any outgoing calls which have to be made in response to the queries.
