Branch trustee

We need people to join as trustees to help manage the affairs of the RSPCA Reading with Oxon Border branch.

In and around the Reading with Oxon Border Branch area

Key activities

Trustees serve on the governing body of the charity and have responsibility for controlling the management and running of the branch, to deliver vital animal welfare work in the branch area.

Times & preferred duration of commitment

Ongoing - but a minimum commitment of at least 12 months is ideal. Trustees are re-elected to the committee at the branch annual general meeting.
Trustees are required to attend monthly meetings, to contribute actively at these meetings and participate where possible in awareness raising and fundraising activities.

Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required

You must be committed to the RSPCA's objectives, be able to work with people and have good interpersonal skills. Some trustee roles require specific skills such as finance, fundraising, project management, business experience and awareness of employment law and or charity legislation.

Training provided

Trustee training and guidance notes are provided.

Expenses

Some expenses can be claimed with prior agreement from the branch.
