Location

Throughout the Sunderland, Hartelpool and South Tyneside Branch area.

Key activities

To visit the homes of potential adopters to ensure their suitability for an RSPCA animal and to revisit homes to ensure that the adoption has been a success. To complete associated paperwork.

Times & preferred duration of commitment

Flexible, however we aim to make contact with a potential adopter within 48 hours of receiving the request for a home visit and make arrangements for the home visit to be completed within 7 days. Visits often take place in the evenings and at weekends.

Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required

Knowledge of the care and needs of animals. Good communication skills and to enjoy meeting new people. The volunteer must have access to a car as visits will be required throughout the Branch area. A telephone is required in order to arrange visits.

Training provided

Training will be provided and references sought.

Expenses

Travel expenses can be paid.
