Branch trustee
To manage the affairs of the branch following the strategic plan already in place and currently operating for the branch.

Key activities
Trustees serve on the governing body of the charity and have responsibility for controlling the management and running of the branch. This includes management of 5 members of branch staff.
The branch are looking for volunteers to take on the role of Branch Chair and Branch Sectetary, in addition to needing general trustees.
Times & preferred duration of commitment
Trustees are expected to attend monthly committee meetings.
The level of commitment may vary depending upon whether or not the trustee takes on additional duties, such as the role of branch officer (chairman, treasurer or secretary). Trustees are elected for a 12 month term at the Branch Annual General Meeting.
Management committee meetings attendance of between 6-12 meetings per year.
Experience / skills / knowledge / personal qualities required
You must be committed to the RSPCA's objectives, be able to work with people and have good interpersonal skills. Some trustee roles require specific skills such as finance, fundraising, project management, business experience and awareness of employment law and or charity legislation.
We are specifically looking for individuals with expertise to continue to support the branch staff in running the branch according to the objectives and plan currently in place.
Training provided
Trustee training and guidance notes are provided. The Branch Support Specialist and regional staff will provide an induction and support to trustees taking on these roles.
Expenses
Mileage allowance and reimbursement of reasonable expenses incurred will be reimbursed.
