Hello all! My name is Wellington, and I'm the tri-coloured puppy on the left. Everyone has said that I'm going to sell myself, so I thought I should tell you a bit about the type of home I'm looking for. I've been lucky in that I have until only recently been living in a home, so I've not had to spend too much of my time in kennels. This means that I am more used to the hustle and bustle of a household than that of a kennel block, however I will need a lot of socialistaion when I go to my forever home. I've heard about training classes, and boy - do they sound like a lot of fun! Meeting other dogs and people that all look so different! I want to see something called traffic and hear lots of new noises - all to prepare me for things I'll meet in later life, you see. If you think you have the time to guide me as I grow up, I promise I'll be your best friend for the rest of my life. Come up and meet me, I just can't wait to begin my adventure.
Opening hours:
11am-4pm every day except closed Wed - we prioritise animals in need
- 1Contact the branch or animal centre and arrange to visit them. To save time you can download and complete an application form below.
- 2The branch or animal centre will give you information on adopting an animal, including the cost, and can help you fill out the right forms.
- 3Following an assessment to match you with the right pet, you can meet the animals and reserve the animal you like.
- 4A home visit will then be carried out to check your home is suitable for the pet you have chosen
- 5When all the paperwork and checks are complete - you can take your new pet home!
- 6A follow-up visit is usually carried out to make sure that you, your family and your new pet are all happy.
