Age: 3 Years (approx)

Fostered in Buxton, Derbyshire
Jackson was transferred from another RSPCA branch as he’d been in their kennels for 6 ½ months being overlooked and he really was not coping well with kennel life. He has come from a domestic violence home whereby the woman left the dogs behind with the man, a month later she found them to be extremely emaciated as they had not been fed all that time-he has been succesfully prosecuted.
Jackson is a real joker, from his pirate eye patch to his lovely grin, he is such a lovely, loving boy. He is a big boy, without a doubt, but he is also sweet-natured and very loving, playful with a cheeky streak, he has lived with children previously and other smaller dogs but we are looking for a pet and child free home.
We would like an experienced Staffy owner to have him because they would appreciate his gentleness, his constant striving to please and his need to be with people. Staffies don’t kennel well because they love the company of people so much and Jackson was struggling with kennel life.
Jackson is with a foster family who have helped him re-adjust to normal life. He had been through hell and as a result was very wary with some strangers. Initially while he’s unsettled and anxious in the new home he may be grumpy with some dogs and distrusting of some strangers as he was when he first went into his foster home. He has come on leaps and bounds and is so much more confident and now enjoys strangers giving him a nice fuss and is much better with other dogs.
You will need understanding, kindness and patience; we know his special home is out there somewhere, please give this beautiful boy a chance; he really will make a loyal and obedient companion!
