This handsome cat is Bart. Bart came into our care in April as a very scared cat who found it very hard to trust people. After a few months of him scratching and biting anyone who would go into his pen we decided to move him to an area that was quieter and less intimidating for him. For the first week or so he was still very nervous so with the help of some volunteers Bart was read to everyday. He soon started to relax and would even start to groom himself. Then one day he just decided that people were actually ok and not going to hurt him and came out of his pen with his tail high in the air and started rubbing himself around people's legs. His confidence has only grown since then and is now a completely different cat. He still has his moments, if he gets worried or scared he will give you a bite or scratch but it is Bart's way of telling us that we will never tame him! He would be better in a quieter home with no children or dogs but he does seem to love the attention of other cats. Although to begin with he would probably be very nervous, with time and patience would become a lovely addition to your home. If you can offer Bart a new start in life then please get in touch.
