Putney Animal Hospital
What we do
Services provided
Putney Animal Hospital provides a 24-hour veterinary service for sick or injured owned and stray animals, as well as wildlife.
Individuals who live in the hospital’s catchment areas and who are also on certain benefits, or who are on low incomes, can bring their animals to the hospital where they will receive a high quality, low-cost veterinary service.
For routine advice, microchipping and treatment the hospital clinics are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm. Clients will be asked to show evidence that they are in receipt of benefits or that they are on a low income. The hospital does not use an appointment system and you may need to wait to see the vet.
The hospital also provides a 24-hour emergency veterinary service for those times when treatment will not wait until a day clinic begins.
In addition to providing a veterinary service for the community in Putney and the surrounding areas, the hospital also treats sick or injured, neglected, stray or wild animals. These animals are brought to the animal hospital by our inspectorate, as well as by members of the public.
Hospital facilities
Putney Animal Hospital has eight wards and two operating theatres, as well as diagnostic and laboratory facilities.
The hospital also has a 24-hour telephone service to advise customers who are concerned about their pet’s health.
Medicines prescribed by the veterinary surgeons at the hospital, as well as flea and worming treatments, can be purchased from the dispensary.
